Privacy Policy

for Android apps published by Santosh Sagar

This Privacy Policy describes how our Android applications (“Apps”) handle information. Some Apps collect no personal data at all; others may request limited data or device permissions solely to provide core functionality. Where an App requires additional data or permissions, that App will explain the purpose at first run and in its Play Store listing.

Apps covered: Alife and other Android applications published by Santosh Sagar.

1) Overview

We aim to keep data collection minimal. Unless a feature genuinely requires information (e.g., storing your preferences on your device), the Apps avoid collecting or transmitting personal data. If an App uses analytics or ads, this will be declared in its Play listing and in the App’s first-run notice.

2) Data We Collect

2.1 Data processed on your device only

2.2 Data we may receive (only if a specific App uses it)

CategoryExamplesPurpose
Crash & Diagnostics Anonymous crash reports, device model, OS version Identify and fix bugs, improve stability
Usage Analytics Aggregated interaction events Understand feature usage to improve UX (no profiling)
App Content (User-provided) Notes, text you enter, files you choose to export Provide core features you request

Note: If an App does not include analytics/crash reporting, none of the above is collected.

2.3 Sensitive & personal data

We do not intentionally collect sensitive categories (e.g., health, financial, biometric) unless an App explicitly asks you and it’s necessary for a feature you choose to use.

3) How We Use Data

We do not sell your data. We do not use data for targeted advertising unless a specific App clearly discloses ad support in its listing.

4) Sharing & Transfers

If data is processed outside your country, we rely on appropriate safeguards (e.g., standard contractual clauses) provided by those processors.

5) Device Permissions

Some Apps may request permissions strictly for functionality. You can control permissions in Android Settings at any time.

Permission (example)Why it might be requestedRequired?
READ_MEDIA_IMAGES / READ_EXTERNAL_STORAGE Let you pick an image/file inside the App Only if you use import/pick features
POST_NOTIFICATIONS Show reminders or background progress Optional
INTERNET Sync or fetch remote content (if the App supports it) Optional / Feature-based

Remove any rows that don’t apply to a given App.

6) Third-Party Services

Some Apps may integrate Google Play-provided services (e.g., Play Services, in-app updates). If an App uses any analytics, crash reporting, or ads, it will be disclosed in that App’s Play listing and first-run notice.

  • Google Play Services – distribution, updates, basic APIs.

These providers act as processors of limited technical data as needed to deliver their functionality. See each provider’s privacy documentation for details.

7) Data Retention

8) Security

We use reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect information. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure; we continuously improve safeguards and minimize collection by design.

9) Children’s Privacy

Our Apps are not directed to children under the age of 13 (or the age defined by local law). We do not knowingly collect personal data from children. If you believe a child provided data, contact us and we’ll delete it.

10) Your Choices & Rights

11) Changes to this Policy

We may update this Policy to reflect App changes or legal requirements. We will update the “Last updated” date and, where required, provide additional notice in the App or Play listing.
